COVID-19: March 10th Parent CommunicationComments Off on COVID-19: March 10th Parent Communication
Dear Kandalore Parents,
As we look ahead to another fantastic summer, we are aware of the heightened concern and uncertainty parents feel about the Coronavirus and its potential impact on their child’s experience at camp.
Our primary focus – always – is on the safety, health and well-being of our campers!
Please know that we are monitoring this issue very carefully and are being guided by public health officials across several jurisdictions. This includes the Health Protection and Promotion Act for Recreational Camps, the Public health guidance for schools (K-12) and childcare programs (COVID-19), the best practices recommended by the Ontario Camps Association, and by the protocols and practices of Toronto Public Health , the World Health Organization, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
With more than three months still to go until the start of camp, no one can predict what the level of severity associated with COVID-19 will be in Canada by then. Currently it is low. You can be assured that we will be taking thoughtful, informed and appropriate measures in response to the virus.
We will continue to update you regularly on information pertaining to the changing nature of the virus and our policies and practices relating to it.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
